Recent Fixes, Enhancements and Open Issues
The following list provides a summary of recent fixes, enhancements, and "hot" open issues in reverse-chronological order.

| A new theme has been implemented on the LX to improve usability and better map to the Sun.com look and feel. |
| An LX Statistics Module has been added to the LX to track overall media uploads, top videos by number of viewers, top total media by number of viewers, total visitors by day over the last 30 days, and top visitors to the site. |
| A new Java-based upload applet has been added to the LX to improve the efficiency of the media upload process and give users a status bar during upload. |
| Super users can now designate media as Editor's Pick in order to promote good content uploaded to the LX. Media with this designation has an additional checkmark icon to notify users that this content has a super user's seal of approval. |
| The Upload media link has been replaced with an Upload button to make it more prominent and easier for users to find. |
| The usability of forums has been improved to make it easier for users to see new posts, navigate topics, and post to the forums. |
| The Help system and support framework have been combined so that users can get help in one central location, available under the Support link on the main menu. |
| A support form has been added to the Help system to allow users to contact Tier 1 Support (The LX Help Desk). Submitting this form automatically creates a ticket in the JIRA system and notifies Tier 1 support. Users who submit tickets will be updated automatically via email when any action is taken on the ticket. |
| The new theme resolved a variety of issues around the category navigation including legibility and incorrect media count within the categories. |
| A variety of fixes were also implemented to improve navigation, layout, and usability for LX users browsing with Internet Explorer. |
| The view count has been enhanced so that it more accurately represents users who watch a video instead of all users who view the page in which the video is embedded. | 1.1.4 Release - January 2009 |
| Users can now update a piece of media that they have already uploaded using the Edit option. Select the piece of media you wish to replace, select Edit, select Video, then click Browse to select the updated file from your local machine. |
| The comments functionality has been updated to reduce the number of page reloads and improve the overall user experience. |
| The subscribe by email function has been updated to reduce the number of page reloads and improve the overall user experience. SLX only – Functionality not available for pilots at this time. |
| Users can now be uploaded to the Learning eXchange from a CSV file to support the commercial pilots. |
| Several updates have been made to SLX to prepare it for commercial pilots, including changes to the look and feel, usability, and navigation of the site. |

| Channels have been added to the Sun Learning eXchange, allowing users to further refine access to their content. |
| Users can now view additional information about a piece of media including runtime, audience, and creation date. |
| A unique glyph identifier now displays for all media that does not have its own thumbnail. |
| Downloaded filename now reflects title of the media being downloaded in all browsers. |
| User profile save errors caused by multiple user accounts using the same Sun.com email address have been corrected. |
| The Media Upload page has been improved so that you can multi-select categories for your new media from a pop-up window. |
| Email subscription and notification has been enabled so that users can be updated when new content is added to SLX. |
| The login feature has been enhanced to more prevalent at the top of the window and a log out link has been added to the product. |
| An email is now generated to the user when upload/transcoding of a piece of media has finished. |
| Download link on My Videos view now allows users to download all assets in the view. |
| A potential security loop-hole in which MP3 and PDF files could be accessed from their direct URL without logging in has been closed. |
| The SLX theme for iPhone can now display multiple MP3 files for a single node. |
| SLX's iPhone interface now displays runtimes for all media. |
| SLX now provides an interface for an external system to request videos on a given search string. |
| Now users can "flag" inappropriate content by tagging it as fuzzy, garbled, delete, duplicate, or inappropriate. |
