The video recording widget is based on a (32bit) plugin installed locally on Windows and Mac OS X platforms.

For users who recently upgraded their systems to Snow Leopard and run their Safari in 64bit (default) mode, video recording is not possible until the plugin has been updated.

A simple workaround is to start Safari in 32bit mode
